Canadians have become so accustomed to BMW launching innovative products that more than a few were fooled by this series of phony products. Carefully crafted, cheeky ads lauding our latest advancements were released, driving the curious to a microsite that revealed the joke: it was all for April Fool’s. National media outlets from around the world picked up our campaign and lauded BMW for their sense of humour, while the website garnered over 25,000 hits within 24 hours.
