A night at the Symphony

We conceived of and produced this brand video for the Toronto Symphony Orchestra, a spot that was meant to be evocative of the full experience of enjoying an evening of classical music. Our approach involved meticulously capturing all of the details that precede the first note being struck: the soaring architecture at Roy Thompson Hall, the footfalls of the crowd streaming through the doors, the rustling of the programs, the overhead lights snapping on, the conductor taking the stage and raising his baton. This live-action video also features footage of the TSO musicians performing – and the video ends, aptly enough, with the cascading applause of the audience. And when the video debuted at Luminato, one of the preeminent arts festivals in North America, it also received an enthusiastic round of applause. It has also been favourably received online and in theatres.
